Location:
Centrally situated in George, Western Cape, South Africa, which is the Heart of the scenic Garden Route, one of South Africa’s most popular tourist areas. This is a substantial double property of 4000 sq. meters (1 acre in size) which could be subdivided if required, with a wooded, well laid out garden , a pond emanating from a natural spring which has it’s source in George Mountain about 2-3 km's away.
The numerous trees and shrubs make it home to a variety of birds. Part of the property is enclosed by a wall and the rest by a high natural hedge. Access is via remote controlled gates and there is a brick built private barbecue (Braai) area near the swimming pool. There is ample space for the construction of 2 or 3 more self catering cottages if required.
The Main House:
This is separate from the guest accommodation and comprises:- 2 bedrooms, 1 and a half bathrooms, study, large lounge/dining room, kitchen/scullery and an upstairs utility room currently used as a sewing/ironing room. Blackwood floors in lounge and passages, and wall to wall carpeting in the bedrooms.
Double doors from the dining room lead on to an enclosed dining room for guests with sliding glass doors onto a wooden deck that overlooks the garden and swimming pool. At the rear of the house there is a lockable work/tool shed with lights and power point and an open fronted potting shed.

The Guest Accommodation:
There are 4 double rooms, all with private entrances, {no guests use the main house}, 3 of which open on to a patio overlooking the garden and swimming pool, and the 4th has it’s own private garden. All rooms have TV, fans, Fridge and bathroom-en-suite and 3 have a fully equipped kitchenette while the 4th has a fridge, tea/coffee facilities and a sink but no cooking facilities.

Outside:
There is a beautifully set swimming pool area for the guests, including the Braai area for barbecues in the summer or winter months. Large quiet rolling gardens down to the stream that flows across the bottom of the garden.

The Climate in this region:
George has a Mediterranean Maritime climate, with moderately hot summers, and mild to chilly winters. It is one of the lower rainfall areas in Garden Route, most of which occurs in the winter months, brought in by the humid sea-winds from the Indian ocean. Winter is in June /July and Summer is in the December / January Months.
